Growing up in a Texas town with under 600 people, we learned early that when something needs solving, you figure it out yourself. That problem-solving drive came from watching our father, Quenton Dean, pioneer technology that seemed impossible at the time.
In 1989, he helped engineer the Discoverer Seven Seas—the drillship that discovered the Mars oil field, the largest Gulf of Mexico find in 25 years. His team used computer-controlled positioning systems to operate in 3,000 feet of water, 130 miles offshore, making breakthrough technology commercially viable.
That legacy of engineering excellence led us to Texas A&M, where we became leaders in the Corps of Cadets. More importantly, we discovered that the same approach our father used to push technological boundaries could help businesses harness cutting-edge solutions for real-world challenges.
